Currently, 92 faculty members work in the department, including 10 members of CAS（WANG Chongyu, CHEN Nanxian, GU Binglin, KUANG Yuping, LI Jiaming, FAN Shoushan, ZHU Bangfen, XUE Qikun, DUAN Wenhui, Zou Bingsong）. Many faculty members have received various international and national awards for their research achievements, such as the "National Award in Natural Sciences", "National Science and Technology Progress Award", "National Technological Invention Award", "HLHL Achievement Award in Science and Technology", "Qiu Shi Outstanding Scientist Award", "Qiu Shi Outstanding Scientific Research Team Award", "Tan KahKee Science Award", and so on.
