Topic: Navigating Scientific Publishing in the Nature Portfolio
Speaker: Dr. Aldo Isidori
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM, Friday, November 13, 2026
Venue: W105 Physics Building, Tsinghua University
Abstract:In this talk, Dr. Aldo will provide an insider's perspective on the editorial model and peer-review process of the Communications journals within the Nature Portfolio. He will share insights into how academic publishing operates behind the scenes and address common questions about getting published. Early-career researchers and students are especially encouraged to attend to learn how to communicate effectively with editors and improve the efficiency of the submission and review process.
Bio: Aldo received his PhD in condensed matter physics from the University of Rome and then held post-doctoral positions at the Goethe University of Frankfurt, Royal Holloway University of London, and the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA). His areas of interest include strongly correlated materials, such as transition metal and organic high temperature superconductors, quantum phase transitions, magnetic and topological order of matter, and superconducting heterostructures. He studied these systems using both theoretical and experimental approaches. Aldo joined Communications Materials in February 2020 and is based in Springer Nature's London office.
