Research Statement

Prof. Shi's research focuses on different phenomenologies in heavy-ion collisions, which employs not only traditional analytical and numerical methods but also new techniques such as machine learning and quantum computation. Specific physics aspects are listed as follows.

1. Collective motion of the hot medium created in heavy-ion collisions;

2. Chiral Magnetic effect in heavy-ion collisions;

3. Spin polarization induced by rotation;

4. Static and dynamic properties of heavy quark in quark-gluon plasma;

5. Jet quenching in quark gluon plasma.
