内容摘要:The coherent nonlinear interactions between collective excitations, such as magnons and phonons, drive emergent phenomena in quantum materials, yet capturing their dynamics in real time remains a formidable challenge. In this talk, we demonstrate how terahertz 2D coherent spectroscopy can directly resolve these hidden interactions in the van der Waals antiferromagnet FePS3. By mapping out 2D coherent spectra, we isolate both second- and third-order nonlinear responses of antiferromagnetic magnons, providing definitive evidence of sum- and difference-frequency generation between magnons and lattice vibrations. Finally, we will discuss the symmetry requirements for nonlinear magnonic processes and explore how exploiting these coherent nonlinearities allows us to entangle magnetic and vibrational degrees of freedom, opening new pathways for ultrafast quantum control and hybrid terahertz technologies.

报告人简介:张琦,南京大学物理学院教授。从事凝聚态光谱学研究,聚焦量子材料中的低能激发及其非平衡态动力学。2007年本科毕业于南京大学,2010年获得北京大学物理硕士学位,2015年于美国莱斯大学获得博士学位。2016-2018年在美国阿贡国家实验室开展博士后研究工作,2018-2019年于美国华盛顿大学物理系进行二维量子体系的光谱研究,于2019年底加入南京大学物理学院。相关荣誉包括,阿贡国家实验室Alexey Abrikosov Fellow (2015),国家“海外高层次人才”青年项目(2018),“江苏省杰出青年基金”(2024),江苏省物理学会“杰出青年奖”(2025)。主持国家重点研发计划青年科学家项目。
