内容摘要：In this presentation I will discuss our research on cold collisions and  reactions of trapped ions with neutral atoms or molecules in  radiofrequency ion traps. Specifically, we have studied rotationally and  vibrationally inelastic collisions for hydroxyl anions and carbon dimer  anions. The obtained quenching rate coefficients have been used to  benchmark quantum scattering calculations. Furthermore, we have been able to determine the extremely low rate coefficient for the fundamental  proton transfer reaction of D- and H2, which occurs by quantum tunneling.

报告人简介：Roland Wester，奥地利因斯布鲁克大学教授，自2017年起任数学、计算机科学和物理学院的院长。1999年在德国海德堡大学获得物理学博士学位，2000年至2002年在加州大学伯克利分校从事博士后工作。研究方向为分子相互作用和反应动力学，利用低温离子阱和受控碰撞实验研究离子和离子团簇，并通过质谱和三维成像进行分析。这种方法能够获取丰富的信息，应用范围从有机化学中的模型反应到星际气体云中的冷分子。Wester教授多次在Science、Nature、Nature Chemistry、Nature Communications等期刊发表学术论文。荣获德国物理学会Gustav-Hertz奖、自由基研讨会Broida奖等。
