简介：The sigma-bonding electrons have large binding energy and are stabilized by strong electron-phonon interaction. If one can lift the sigma-bonding band up to the Fermi level, by chemical doping or other charging effects, the strong binding energy is released, but the residual electron-phonon interaction can still be very strong. This provides a universal scheme for hunting high-Tc superconductors.

报告人介绍：向涛，中国科学院院士，中国科学院物理研究所研究员。获清华大学学士和硕士学位、中科院理论物理所博士学位。1990-1998年先后在英国牛津大学、Warwick大学和剑桥大学工作。2000年获得国家杰出青年基金，2001年获得政府特殊津贴，2003年获第七届“中国科学院杰出青年”荣誉称号，2007年获得中国物理学会叶企孙物理奖，2011年被选为美国物理学会会士，同年被选为美国物理学会最佳审稿人，2013年当选中国科学院院士。曾任中国物理学会凝聚态理论与统计物理专业委员会主任。现任“Chinese Physics Letters”副主编，英国皇家学会“Proceedings A”等杂志的编委。
